Most watched Netflix series this weekend (December 2025): Top 5 worth binging

Looking for a weekend series, but tired of endless scrolling? Netflix just updated the list of the most watched titles, so we selected the Top 5 series that are currently dominating the platform . No idleness, no disappointments — just titles that are really worth your time.

This is a list for anyone who wants something new, something epic, or simply something to watch "in one breath".

1. Stranger Things — Season 5 (Part 1)

The biggest Netflix event of the year. The first part of the final season just landed on the platform and immediately became the global number one . Hawkins is darker, the stakes are higher, and the atmosphere is more intense than ever.

What do you get this season:

  • a combination of '80s nostalgia and blockbuster action,
  • characters who have grown up and entered the toughest fight yet,
  • episodes that look like mini-movies.

If you watch only one thing this weekend — let it be this one.

2. The Abandons — Season 1

The loudest premiere of December. A dark western from the creators of Sons of Anarchy , set in 1850s Oregon, starring Lena Headey and Gillian Anderson . Rough scenes, a fight for land and a constant feeling of injustice — it's all there.

Who is this series for:

  • if you like serious, dirty, realistic dramas,
  • if you want something completely new (not a continuation of the franchise),
  • if you like characters that have real weight and motivation.

One of those series that "reward" careful viewing.

3. Wednesday — Season 2

Wednesday is still the queen of aesthetics and dark teenage energy. The second season expands the mysteries of Nevermore Academy and brings even more supernatural plots. It is visually stronger, the characters are deeper, and the humor is still perfectly dry.

Ideal if you need:

  • mystery without horror exaggeration,
  • a series you can binge watch in one sitting,
  • a combination of dark humor and school chaos.

Aesthetics + pace = the perfect weekend getaway.

4. Sean Combs: The Reckoning — documentary series

If you like true crime and documentaries that expose the industry from the inside, this is currently one of the most requested titles. The series investigates the controversial allegations against P. Diddy and combines interviews, archival footage and analysis.

Expect:

  • a serious and difficult topic,
  • research approach without sensationalism,
  • a story that constantly holds attention.

This is a documentary that is commented on on all networks.

5. CoComelon Lane — new episodes

A children's hit that constantly remains in the Netflix Top 10, regardless of the season. Short, educational episodes, songs and simple stories that keep kids occupied.

This is worth knowing:

  • is most popular among parents with children aged 2 to 6,
  • The episodes are short and calming,
  • A great "timeout" for the weekend.

If you have children — this is a lifesaver. If you don't — skip it.

A little weekend tip

For an epic experience — Stranger Things 5 . For something new and energetic — The Abandons . For dark fun — Wednesday 2 .

You don't have to search the catalog for an hour. You go to the "Top 10", pick one of these five — and the weekend is settled.
